NORSOK R-003 is a standard that all jobs offshore must follow. The standard shall contribute to establishing, improving and further developing and approving safety levels for personnel, the environment and material assets when planning and carrying out lifting operations in the petroleum industry.

The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge of standard content, and it must be understood in the context of planning, execution and evaluation of lifting operations and contribute to developing attitudes, understanding of risk and the importance of safety aspects and focus during lifting operations.
